"MYP technology is based on an inquiry and problem-solving approach that enables students to apply knowledge, skills and techniques to solve realistic problems by creating feasible products/solutions. MYP technology uses the design cycle as the methodological approach to problem solving through the creation of products/solutions.
MYP technology requires students to consider the interrelated nature of the development, application, impact and implications of technology, and how these influences have a role in shaping past and future techonolgy developments.
All units of work in technology must be based on the design cycle. The expectation for technology courses (as for all other subjects in the MYP) is that they will make effective use of ICT (computer technology)."
